        Diagnostic Characteristics:

        The Superfine Turbine is a Wave 4 release using the normal HK casting dated 1972. All known examples are in one of four enamel colors and the interiors are all white.
        The wheels differ from the HK release with Capped redlines on front vs. through hole wheels on the HK version. No casting variations are noted. About half of the
        known Superfine Turbines have lost their original motors.

        • Large capped wheels in rear
        • Medium capped wheels in front

        Interior:
        • White Interior
        • Opening Rear Hatch Cover

        Comments:

        The Superfine Turbine one of the first CIPSA cars to be known. It is the only casting to have been found still sealed in an original blister pack.



        HK Superfine Turbine vs. CIPSA Superfine Turbine

        The front wheel type and the interior as well as the paint colors differ between the HK version and the CIPSA version of the Superfine Turbine. Although there
        are now over 25 known examples, many are in poor condition and most of the yellow ones have lost their original motors. Buyers of this casting must be cautious
        and alert for signs of tampering.




        First known CIPSA Superfine Turbine

        The casting was confirmed in March, 2004 with the discovery of this yellow one in Mexico by Jaguar9 of the Redlines Online site.




        CIPSA Superfine Turbine in Package

        This is the only known example of a CIPSA blister pack. it was sold on eBay in May 2004.

        This is the only orange enamel known. It clearly has been glued back together. The paint is believed to be original as it matches the color of other castings.
