Diagnostic Characteristics:

The CIPSA version of the Snake Funny Car is a Wave 2 release using the US version of the Snake casting. The paint colors are not found in normal production,
either HK or US and the glass on the CIPSA version is different having a slight tint. The interior and prop assembly are black like the domestic versions.
The wheels are Type 1 capped redlines like all domestic cars. The stickers on the CIPSA Snake are similar to the Snake II version from 1971. However, they
have Spanish wording and the CIPSA logo where the Mattel logo is normally located.

• Orange Enamel

• Medium Caps in front and Large Caps in rear

Interior:

• Black Interior and Prop assembly

Glass:

• Lightly Tinted
  


Comments:

The Snake Funny Car was one of the first known CIPSA cars. Like its domestic counterpart, the Snake Funny Car is found with the plastic prop assembly inside and user applied stickers.
Only a few of the more than 30 known examples have good condition stickers, making those pieces very desirable.
