Modelo : Rocket Bye Baby
Diagnostic Characteristics:
The Wave 4 release of the CIPSA Rocket Bye Baby uses the 1973 "Shell Promo" version of the casting. The differentiating features are the paint colors,
the wheel type, the interior and glass. The three enamel colors are unique to CIPSA. The white interior is much brighter that the Shell white interior
and the glass is clear versus tinted on the Shell versions. A particularly obvious difference is the wheels whereas the CIPSA version has capped wheels
but the Shell version is supplied with through hole redlines.

Comments:
Around the spring of 2004, a brown enamel Rocket Bye Baby sold on eBay from a location in the US. The car drew a bit of attention in the collector community
because
it was an unheard of paint color. The general concensus was that it was a repaint of some sort. It later became evident that it was a CIPSA car that had emigrated earlier than
most of the current examples.
A number of the examples of the Rocket Bye Baby are poorly assembled and have lost the engine piece. A few examples show evidence of factory repainting.
CIPSA(C) vs. Shell Versions (L/R)
The CIPSA dark blue color is different from either of the Shell blue colors. The glass is obviously clearer and the interior more starkly white.
CIPSA vs. Shell Wheels
The CIPSA version uses capped wheel, whereas the Shell version uses through hole wheels.
